"shoulda known, shoulda cared, shoulda hung around the kitchen in my underwear" // 11 June 2004 newsflash! oh yes. the mighty girls aloud are back with the poptastic the show. hoorah! and in other news: - i've gone back to the bottle. it was nice having just black hair but i got bored and therefore, i am now currently sporting a blonde streak in my fringe and one on the side of my head.
- i am going on holiday in exactly 10 days with my girls, hoorah! - so, i have been working like, well any other normal person, rather than my usual meagre 16 hours a month. although, i'm guessing 9am to 8pm don't really count as normal hours. ah, the life of a library assistant. - i have discovered a marvellous self-tanner for lilywhite people. yes it's true, the palmer-cutler it is...real tan is marvellously subtle and doesn't streak. i think that also warrants a hoorah! -i helped my friend to move the other day. she's moving out of the teenytiny halls of residence and into a flat nearby with a gorgeous view of canary wharf etc. it felt like such a grown up thing to do, to help someone move. - harry potter & the prisoner of azkaban is the best one yet but sadly, doesn't size up to the books. i shall just have to accept that the films will never be as good. - although i am hugely looking forward to lemony snicket's a series of unfortunate events. i saw a picture in empire of jim carrey as count olaf and i love all the detail that's gone into the production design. i especially adore the VFD eye on his waistcoat. - i am currently loving the mighty boosh and am finding noel fielding strangely attractive in his rock star arctic suit. eep. - i have been reading like a madwoman these past few weeks and have gone through, the lovely bones alice seabold, lucky alice seabold, girl with a pearl earring tracy chevalier, falling angels tracy chevalier, the fire eaters david almond and the slippery slope: book the tenth lemony snicket. i am now alternating between the da vinci code dan brown, sisterland linda newberry, the butterfly tattoo philip pullman and the remains of the day kazuo ishiguro. - there is now a bunch of DVDs waiting for me, so i am leaving for y tu mama tambian/adaptation/footballer's wives S1/teachers S2. pop picks "the show" girls aloud; "in public" kelis; "one night stand" jc chasez; "roses" outkast; "spaceship" kanye west "lipstick marks still on your coffee cup" - 22 November 2005 |
